ITIL Foundation (Version 5) Certification

The ITIL® Foundation course is designed for people who require a basic level of ITIL understanding.

The training introduces participants to the management of modern IT-enabled services and provides them with an understanding of the common language and key concepts.

The ITIL Foundation (Version 5) course shows participants how they can improve their work and the work of their organisation thanks to the ITIL guidance.

The course is updated to the version 5 of the ITIL framework.

Objectives

Following the completion of the course participants should be able to:

Explain the core concepts of digital product and service management and how value is generated through service relationships.
Apply the ITIL Guiding Principles to support better decision-making and adapt service management practices to your organisation.
Describe how the ITIL Service Value System, value chain activities, and the product and service lifecycle integrate to deliver value end-to-end.
Recognize opportunities to enhance value streams by using value stream thinking and mapping.
Understand the role of AI in ITIL, the basics of AI governance, and how ITIL aligns with frameworks such as DevOps and PRINCE2®.

Individuals at the start of their journey in Service Management
ITSM Managers and aspiring ITSM Managers
Individuals working in other parts of “IT” (digital, product, development) with strong interface with service delivery
Existing ITIL qualification holders wishing to update their knowledge.

1 hour (75 minutes for non-native speakers)

Upon successful completion of the exam and following confirmation of the results, the participants will receive a unique, secure and auditable electronic certificate from PeopleCert.

The certification ITIL Foundation (Version 5) is mandatory to access the further ITIL modules. These require candidates’ ability to apply the ITIL framework key concepts in a working environment

It is desirable, but not essential, that participants have some experience in IT Service management. Some pre-read material is provided prior to the training and is expected to be fully read before attending the course.
