AGILE Project Management is an innovative approach to project management, which helps people work effectively together to achieve business goals. This new guidance provides the ability to deliver Agile Projects in organizations requiring standards, rigour and visibility around Project Management, while at the same time enabling the fast pace, change and empowerment provided by Agile.

Agile Project Management works alongside more formal project management approaches such as PRINCE2® and complements quality processes such as ISO90001 and CMMI.

Agile Project Management is based on the proven fundamentals within DSDM Atern, which has always been the only Agile method to fully address the concept of an Agile project, and provides detailed guidance on how to manage and deliver Agile projects.

Agile Project Management is the result of collaboration between APMG-International and The DSDM Consortium.

AGILE QUALIFICATION SCHEME

If you want to become a Registered Practitioner, you MUST sit the Foundation Examination and then the Practitioner Examination, in that order.

You can sit both exams in the same week or even day, or you can split them and sit them months (or even years!) apart.

• The Foundation is the first of the two AGILE Project Management Examinations you are required to pass to become an Agile Project Management Practitioner. This level is aiming to measure whether a candidate would be able to work  within an Agile environment using the fundamental principles of Agile Project management
• The Practitioner level is aiming to measure whether a candidate could apply Agile Project Management to the running and managing of a non-complex project within an environment supporting AGILE
